ANTOINE + MANUEL
EAT ME: White Night Melbourne
"This artwork could not be done anywhere else. Every little bit of light, every colour and every composition is completely composed by the space...It's only made for this place, and only for one night."
EAT ME
Graphic design duo Antoine + Manuel's Eat Me mapped the architectural space of the State Library of Victoria's historic reading room. They created a present multi-media, 360 degree projection under a 35 m heigh dome.
Taking inspiration from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, this immersive work takes audiences through a transcendent fantasy land, bringing together a constellation of different crafts and artistic practice, Eat Me creates a mesmerising experience for White Night Melbourne audiences.
Combining architecture, drawing and digital media, Antoine + Manuel collaborated with musician SUI ZHEN to create a multi-sensory experience of live performance, music and visuals for a mesmerising installation.
